Session Description

How do we facilitate our teaching using technology so that our students have the opportunity to create artifacts of learning that truly make their thinking visible and amplify their voice? What can we do to take learning beyond the ‘worksheet’? In this session, we will explore the top Google infused tools available to help students create meaningful learning opportunities. You will leave with ideas for practical curricular and pedagogical upgrades aligned with 21st century literacies for your students to demonstrate their learning in meaningful ways and for an authentic audience.

Tanya Avrith M.A. EdTech is the co-author of the newly released book, "The Google Infused Classroom". She is the Personal Branding and Digital Communication Teacher at North Broward Preparatory School in Coconut Creek, Florida. Tanya previously consulted with schools to help plan and execute large-scale deployments and professional development plans for Digital Citizenship, iPad and Chromebook initiatives. She served as the Lead Educational Technology and Digital Citizenship Teacher at the Lester B. Pearson School Board in Montreal, Canada.
