This session will focus on uses for regular Google Maps and create-your-own Google My Maps. Come learn how to create a custom map with your own icons, images, or media put RIGHT into the map! Learn how to pull up this map on your device so you can explore the world around you. We’ll explore how these tools work, some tricks you didn’t know about and classroom examples for how to map it out!

Chad Kafka works as a Technology Integration Specialist for Franklin Public Schools near Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he plans with teachers and coaches them around best practices and uses for technology in the classroom. In Franklin, Chad is part of the "tech team" that oversees the 1:1 Chromebook program for grades 5-12. Chad has spoken at a variety of state/national conferences and worked with organizations and districts to put on sessions centered around Google Apps.
