Google Earth Tour Builder

Session Description

John will introduce you to Google Earth Tour Builder and model a summative assessment that uses Tour Builder + YouTube. John’s 10th graders travelled across the globe AND through time to significant historical events they wanted to witness, experience, and change. The project features a series of differentiated steps that work their way up Bloom’s Taxonomy. If you’re not a history teacher...no problem...any curriculum that can be pinned to a geographical location can benefit from Tour Builder. Make a ‘lit trip’ and follow the Joad family from Oklahoma to California, tour the greatest sports arenas in the world, introduce yourself to your students by showing your personal journey, etc.
